18/6 and 24 hour on and off?

these lights are only good for seedlings and rooted clones up to about 6" tall you need to switch to HID's, t8's,t5's, or cfl's after that.if you keep some 23 watt 6500k cfl's burning 18/6 your plants will stay in veg. you can then turn on a HPS in the middle of this cycle for a few hours to get good growth while saving on your ele bill.think of it as bright midday sun.

Dude i really appreciate the reply in all, but if i was going to use hps or metal halid or a GOOD cfl, then that would mean i could afford the elec bill now wouldn't it? witch is why i posted this in the first place cause i was concerned even about just using what i have already,.... all i can use is 4 t12 3120 lumens 4100kelvin .......its all i got.....all i can afford. Also ive researched just growing from start to finish using flouro tubes and turns out i can but! i wont get much yield but the buds will still be danky witch is totally fine with me,.... thanx anyways dude still..... i appreciate your effort to help^^

Hey guys, im just curious if it would screw anything up or damage or whatever to my plant if i were to do 18/6 one day and then the next 2 days the 24 hour method and then after that back to 18/6 .....etc. and the reason i ask this is cause i want to do 24/7 but it would still be to much electricity for me to use even tho im using cool white t12 florescents, and want to get the most i can so i figured one day 18/6 and the 2 days 24.....thanx for reading and please get back to me soon fellow Rating: 5

i understand what your saying now ,your so broke you have to stay with the light you already have .i apologize for upsetting you. i'v been there and feel the pain brother.my first indoor grow consisted of ten 8' t12's salvaged from a garbage pile and mounted on plywood.i had to sell most of the harvest to pay the overdue elc bill. may the fore wind blow something good your way.when/if you get a chance to upgrade may i point out that a four bulb t8 fixture will use LESS electricity than a four bulb t12 fixture while giving you more light?. :hippy:
