Well, we all love our smokin' 'n' growin' - thats hobby number one!

But alot of people are into their cars - men mainly i supose hahaha. I didnt see a forum in the hobby section that'd cover this, and the forums are basically idol compared to how they used to be, so this is something to maybe get the posts flowing in. I hope!

Well, as the old timers know i was a mechanic - still am, however i've now moved onto cars. I do engine building and tuning for race applications/rally cars/drag cars for Santapod Raceway [in England]

I went out and bought myself a nice old Ford Fiesta RS from 1990 [i've always been into my English performance fords]

So, is anyone else here into cars? Or into tuning/building engines/cars?

I think i saw on one post someone here [i cant remember who] enjoys building Hotrods!

Anyone want to share any pictures? or wanna talk about what car they have and anything they might of done to it?

Or anyone interested in asking engine questions that they want answered.... ANYTHING to get the posts comming in!

I took a lot of transmission and other auto tech classes in between high school and college..I love tearing down a tranny and putting it back together..I dunno why, its pretty tedious.

I worked on a bunch of shelby cobras in those classes, so much fun.

Oh cool, i designed my gearbox and worked out my own ratios for the best acceleration. Have you heard of quaiffe? They built it up from my designs. I enjoy that kinda thing too! I know what you mean by tedius, but its... oh whats the word... like cooking... THERAPUTIC! thats the one! I find it very theraputic.

Im not familiar with quaife, but I know they are a british automotive company of some sort.

And yeah, its totally theraputic..any auto work is!
