Hi,

Thanks for reading my question. I'm still a amature grower.
I have a DIY drip system using a transparent plastic box as my resvoir. I find that the ph leve drops rapiply and constantly every day , Eg from ph 6.8 to 5.4 in one day. I sometimes wonder if it is the light exposure to the nutrient solution in the resevoir. I know that light exposure make nutrient grow algae, but, does it also change the ph level of the nutient solution???

I probably will ducktap the plastic box so that becomes light proof, and My other hydroponic system is aerogarden; it seems fine with the ph problem. Maybe it is because the aerogaeden's resvoir is light proof???

I'd appreciate it if I could get some precious knowledge if anyone could answer this question.

Thanks a lot.
