I'm on month 15 of an 18 month probation sentence because of a marijuana-related offense and am thinking about asking a doctor about medical marijuana for back pain and insomnia. Does anyone know how this works? If a doctor recommends that I use medical marijuana for any reason, can my probation officer tell me I'm not allowed to use the medicine? Is that within his power?
