low humidity effects

So my temp is spot on (73-77) day(67-71) night...but i need a humidifier but cant afford one....my humidity had been in the teens and 20's the past couple of days....and before that was still kind of low in 30's-low 40's...will this affect the quality? or the yield? or both?

I cant say 100% that it'll be bad for your overall harvest but I dont think very low humidity would be good at all, I just dont know what it causes.

Your plants will be happier with higher humidity 40 - 60 percent during veg and 30 - 40 during flower. With lower humidity they will expire more moisture and therefore require more frequent watering. I'm guessing that this will have some impact on the performance of the plant but how much is hard to say. Try putting a 5 gallon bucket of water in the corner. If your light can hit the water even better. You don't need much to raise the humidity. A very small humidifier will do the trick. You should be able to find one used for next to nothing.

yea i actually put a 10 G reservoir in there next to a 1000 watt, on the other side i hung a wet towel and let it drip into something...and i found a old shotty vicks humidifer that i hooked up...all of this raised my humidity 5%....maybe...I think my problem was to good of circulation too, so i put a box over half of my exhaust filter to try and slow it down a bit...I know i just have to bite the bullet and buy a $100 humidifier...but damn im broke ,lol...

Do you have a speed controller for you fan? Reducing the speed will greatly extend the life of your filter saving you some $$ too. Buy a used humidifier. I bet you can find one online or in a thrift store for a few dollars.

cant belive i didnt think of buying a used one...hit up the old craigslist and found a solid 2G tank 4G output a day for $20 bucks...I hope its powerful enough

I don't think your low humidity is much of a problem. Certainly better than high humidity. If you are at or near 30% you should be just fine.

I don't think it is a problem at all (doing indoor soil.) The plants just use more water and there is less chance of over watering unless you are in too big of a pot. High humidity is by far a more worrisome issue, especially during bud.
