You can keep your light between 14"-18". And adjust from there, 18" being the max distance. :thumbsup: :twocents:

I run my 400MH a little high, 18-20" off the tops, but if I have a girl that runs away I use the "Hand" method for judging just how close I can let her get. If I hold my hand at the level of the plant and it's not uncomfortable then the plant should be just fine too.

The HinduSkunk looks a little heat stressed from the light being too low, but everything looks good now.

As for the reflective,.... the kinda quilted stuff your running now will diffuse the light better so you won't have so many hot spots. I use Panda since it also helps reduce reflected heat.

I think Im going to Scrog these as Ive seen some awsome grows here. Im not sure that all four will fit like that so maybe I wont..Dont know

Scrog is fun as heck tho! Very rewarding watching all your hard work pay off for ya! :rastasmoke:

As for your area and scrogging all 4,..... it could be done but it would be a bit confusing by harvest time telling which bud is from which strain! :wtf:

I visited a dispensary grow today and wandered thru his tables of SCROG'd plants sniffing buds and then trying to figure out which plant they were attached to! 40,000w flowering room, all SCROG,..... just WOW!

IMO SCROG is a great method for lower wattage HID and for Floro users since the penetration into the canopy is so limited. But I digress,......


If I were you with a 3x4 foot print for your tent, I'd vege the plants in to about 1-1.5 foot tall, then top em. Vege for another week to let the branches come in some.

Then for Scroging, take some garden fence with the 2x3" rectangles, and hang it in there about 3-6" BELOW canopy height (Bend your plants down to make this happen) then kick the lights to 12/12.

Train stretch into any available wire, but try to keep the canopy as thin as possible. (Dont overlap, and try not to inter weave your girls) once your out of space to train the nodes down let them grow up into buds. top runaway's or HST them (Kink the stem under the screen and pull them back down to match the canopy)

As for any undergrowth,... if it wasn't within 4" of the bottom of the screen at the end of stretch, cut it out, it's not going to get enough light to do anything except pull nutes and energy away from the main buds.imp:

Great points all the same canni. I thought the same thing as far as being hands on all the time. Its fun and rewarding to be in there all the time. And Im the DIY kinda guy so this works for me.

I have a giant pile of stuff Ive gathered over the years outside my garage and just happend to find what looks like a 1 1/2-2 inch screen I can use to hang from the top. Should work fine

I can see already that this is gonna be a long time hobby of mine!!!

Gonna hit the girls with fish e 5-1-1 when the lights come back on...

So Im germing 6 white widows in 1x1 RW cubes under CFLs 24/0. 2 days and I have 1 coming up already. Hopefully the rest will come up so I can run my new box. Its cool, cause I took a 2 teir work bench and enclosed it with the reflextic insulation I used on the big box. Ill hang a bunch of CFLs in there along with the T12 thats in there already:thumbsup:As soon as its done Ill post pics. This way I can work on my girls in my chair..More better for my backMy clone box too
