Pleasanton area, where to go to get Rx
I have read through much of the forum and apologize for posting probably the most often asked question, but I live inpleasanton ca and am not sure where to find a dr that can give me a prescription out here.
Does anyone know someone in the area that they can recommend? Also, how much is the upfront cost for both the visit and the Rx?
I noticed member Hemodilator is from Dublin Pleasanton, maybe he can be of some assistance? I am new to this and just learning what is necessary to make this happen. I am having my doctor fax me my medical records right now.JohnWayne Reviewed by JohnWayne on . There are like 30 something Medicann locations all over the bay area and out to Sac. There should be one in your area.
If you go to Medicann (easy net search) you will need some kind of information indicating you have been to a regular doctor or massage therapist (hint). If you already have this or can get it easily with your insurance do so. They will charge $100 and will issue a card with 24/7 verification that is very handy. You can go to a place in San Jose if it is not too inconvenient called 420meds (I believe) and it will be just $70 plus $10 if you want the handy 24/7 verification card. I believe all cards are equal so the cheapest is best.

Is this enough totale to a mj doc here in the bay area and et approval? Or do the medical records have to be more recent. I could go to my primary and get report that I still have these issues, but they will just Rx more meds.
Am I eligible?

JohnWayne you definitely described issues that are in the list for a doctor to give you a medical license for marijuana. It is actually called a Physicians Statement. Just bring your prescription to your appointment and that should be adequate. That it exactly what I did and it was all I needed.
I have chronic back pain that leads to insomnia. The best thing I have found is chronic cookies that I make myself. No matter how bad my pain and resulting insomnia I can eat one of my killer cookies and get at least 4 hours of sound sleep. Check the sticky for making butter and if you like find my snickerdoodle recipe.
Take care of yourself son.:smokin:

Don't hesitate to just call Medicann for free and ask them if your are valid for the purpose you seek. It is toll free. 866-632-6627 The worse they can say is no. If that happens make an appointment with a massage therapist then bring that record.
