Anyone use a Ph pen like this?

Has anyone used a pen like this and if so did it work well? And would you think the moisture meter would be only as accurate as iv water up till now? I really have no issues watering, but the price isn't bad so why not get two tools for a good price.

    Thanks:rasta:

Anyone use a Ph pen like this?

I thinks it works the same way as what I use now and have used for years growing veggies.

I dont really trust em that much and I'm currently looking at an electric or battery powered unit thats a lot more accurate than these.

uh... yeahhh baaaby, YEAHHHH! Marriage is a bitch, eh? I rely on Sam Kinison for advice on such matters. The ABCs and all that...

BTW I did my first run. I was a bit disappointed with the results. I know I can do better next time but I see the need for some supplemental HPS. I'm adding either a 250w or 400w unit to the mix. But heat is a bastard in my situation.

    Hope you are well.

The one your using looks nice, i like how skinny the probes are. The one im looking at seems pretty fat to maybe mess up roots if i needed an adjustment and needing multiple readings.

After some reading last night, the ''Ed Rosenthal's Marijuana Grower's Handbook'' talked about the test tube kit being more accurate. But im sure a Ph pen is much more time consuming. But im sure after a few times it should get easier. But getting a wrong Ph could mess up the plant more. But i really need to pull the trigger on one, my plant is still sick, but is not slowing growth. So i need to find out what it is, i put a ''no pest strip'' in this morning to kill mites, i just hope it works like it did for everyone else i read about who used it.

    The books great btw.

I just bought a Milwaukee Instruments pH Pen, PH600 on Amazon for a total of $25. I'll test the two side by side when they come in and let ya know what happens...

Stra8 i didn't even let the page load before clicking on the pen i listed so thanks, i would have never seen that one. I wonder if i could use it to measure my nutes and RO with this pen. And if a person grows in the dirt, why dont i ever see anyone use em? Im going to look into it more, but really need to get a reading as im guessing at this point. I gave folier Epsom today, but just a fine misting.

    Thanks bro:rasta:

Ok, the el-cheapo faced off against the brand new Milwaukee pH600.

El-cheapo tester from HD - Read bottled water at a 8+ (no clear markings for .1's so its hard to tell if it was an 8.1 or 8.5, plus the meter only reads from 3.5-8 so IDK fo sho...

Milwaukee pH600 - Read the same bottles water at 7.1. I tested it 6 times stretched over bout 20 min just for giggles and it read 7.1 5 times and 7.2 once. I trust this a lot more than the 3-way cheapo meter.

EDIT: The Wife just handed me a cup of coffee, I stuck both in it right quick, el-cheapo read 8- just a bit but the pH600 read 5.4 :wtf:

    go figure.......
i think the el-cheapo is screwy...
