This is kind of a follow up to the thread, "does space end"

There's something that's called the "boom and bust theory". First you need to consider this: In the physical world, when you do something, there's an effect, and then it returns to its natural state. Now, on to the theory...

It states that the big bang started it all. When the big bang occured, massive amounts of energy were created and it traveled outward in all directions, and will continue outward until it reaches it's limit, then it will return back to its natural state...ie, it will shrink back down until it reaches the state it was in until the bang occured. Then, it starts all over again. With this in mind, it is entirely possible that the universe is on, say, its hundredth rotation and we are living out our hundredth life.

Pretty trippy huh?
