Venice Beach, Culver City, Downtown LA Studio City are all pretty cool cities for the singles and liberals. Santa Monica is nice too but a little more pricier if you want to live right by the ocean. And after you get your doctor's prescription/recommendation or whatever they call it and want to order something with privacy and convenience, you can go to MMMessengers.org - they've always came through for me.
