Is this from using 'Great white'
OMG, that looks disgusting!
But' I'd like to just back up that last guys post. Having some sorta habitat for the beneficials to live in is a great idea. Lava rocks in a sock or organic material in a bag, is a perfect plan. Pretty sure they will be attracted to your airstone again as well, since it is their main source of oxygen, but airstones are cheap and easy to clean.
:To prime an airstone. Detach Airstone+Tube From PUMP. Place stone in clean glass of water. Like a straw, suck water into the tube(not in your mouth), and blow it back into the cup. Repeat, until bubbles come out where they didn't used to come out.
Usually this is done when an airstone is used for the first time, or has been allowed to dry out.:SilentStick Reviewed by SilentStick on . Is this from using 'Great white' For the first time I added 'great white' to my resevoir. After one week I went to change the water and was shocked to find this strange light brown sludge all over everything. This is the only thing I've changed in the last week so I'm hoping that I'm looking at massive colonies of beneficial bacteria. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks P.S. The plants seem happy and are growing well so I'm not worried about them too much. Rating: 5
