    Pill Tolerance

Okay, here's the thing, about 2 and a half weeks ago I shattered my hand by hitting a locker. I received a prescription for Extra Strength Vicodin and Lortab. Both are 750 MGs. I've been taking 3 a day now for the past week and a half now. Usually it's one Lortab and 2 Vicodin. The FIRST week I got them, I took 2-3 anyway because of the pain, but for the past couple days it's been due to rec use. It's just an added benefit that it takes away ALL the pain in my ENTIRE body for the next....12 hours. lol
A couple days ago I crushed up the Lortab and snorted it, and took the two Vicodin. By doing that, I'm literally FUCKED UP for the next 3-4 hours. Only problem is, I usually get so sleepy that I pass out right about that time.

My question is about tolerance. I actually need to take these things because if I don't, it feels as if someone is taking metal needles and jabbing them into the place where my bones USED to be, but are now replaced by metal. How long will it take for me to work up a tolerance to these pills if I continue taking three a day? I have a refillable prescription from my doctor because he said that the pain is intense, and it is, as I said.
Now, today, I took one Lortab and 2 Vicodin orally at 9 am. It's 6 pm right now and my pain is just now starting to hint at coming back. Meaning, I hardly feel the hurt at all, but if I were to hit my hand, it would come back. I'm going to be awake for the next 7-8 hours, so I'm thinking I'm gonna have to take another Lortab at about 8 pm or so.

At this rate, do you think I run the risk of getting addicted and/or being tolerant to these pills?

you definatley run the risk of getting addicted if you arent already. you probably wont know if you are addicted untill you actually stop using them. all i know aobut the tolerance is that it does build up really fast especially if you take two different pills at a time

No no, that's the thing. I'm not doing it for rec use. I'm actually having to do it because of the pain in my hand. I only did it for rec used a couple times.

even if its not for rec use, youre still taking 3 pills a day, which runs a big chance of gettig you addicted, like i said if you arent already. i would just be ready for a little suprise when your hand heals and your doctor takes you off the meds

who cares you should just take as much as you want i mean your doctor is refilling you so why does it matter then you have some when the pain is gone

You're just gonna have some withdrawal when you stop them, won't be a big deal at the doses you're talking about-better than withdrawal+the pain from a broken hand!
