SOG setup questionsI have been planning a SOG in a small area that is currently my veg area.

50" x 108" all walls have BW poly and have a nice table. My problem is I have the clones, but they are not the same strains. all are indica/sativa hybreads and I have grow all to a finish, as I have the mothers...has anyone grow a SOG with different strains....I afraid of the canapoy not being fairly even after a 10 day veg....

 Need Help.

I was thinking 48 plants in 2 or 3 gal grow bags. with a drip system.

any advice would be helpfulweeddaddy50 Reviewed by weeddaddy50 on . 48 plants? Your looking at all 6 of your 1000's right? So, 8 plants per bulb. (unless you've upgraded)

Vege to about 1.5' tall, pack the plants together, then pack the lights in as close as you can control heat and get max coverage over the canopy.

Again, use blocks, milk cartons, tables whatever to maintain canopy height from the lights.

SOG setup questionsmy question was about mixing strains in a SOG setup.

This setup will be in addition to my regular grow. I do not have room for them to veg 1.5 feet then flip to 12/12/ and they will be under 1 1000 watt HPS.

when they are 10 days old I will flip to 12/12...they will be like 8" tall.

SOG setup questionsOh hell,... I missed that entire paragraph of the first post! I'm a dipshit. I'm a dipshit.

I guess what I looked at was the plant count and size of container, I use 3 gallon for my 1.5-2 month vege girls, and I do my clones that go to flower in 1 gallons, are you planning on plugging several into one bag? If so, i'm sure you already know all the same strain and pheno in each bag.

Still tho, blocks or whatever to adjust canopy height as needed, maybe some training or topping on the stretchy sativa's

SOG setup questionsOh, and perhaps a light mover, even if you put 4 in each 3 gallon grow bag, that's still 12 bags, I just don't think the effective footprint of the light will match up to however you arrange them unless it's way too high which will result in loose fluffy buds.

There's lots of options, I wish you the best of luck with this new endeavor.

SOG setup questionsI have the 3 gal grow bags and they will fit into my space with one plant per bag....I have been thinking that this would be perfect for a light mover application, as it only need to move about 4'. my reflector in this area is pretty large. Also, I am going to set it up with it's own auto drip system.

Take a 4' X 8' sheet of plywood put 2x6's on the sides and ends cover with BW poly....slope it from front to back 3" and catch the runoff in a bucket.

Looks like I will have to cut it down to 40 plants...for the space.

 SOG setup questionsSounds good,

3 gallons is a lot of dirt for an 8" tall plant, so watch your watering it will be easy to over water.

The pic is a blueberry @ week 6, it was about 5" tall when set to flower and finished off in a 1 gallon. Needed water every other day at harvest.

SOG setup questionsBlue Berry....that is about the size of plants I need to grow in my SOG....maybe slightly bigger. What kind of yield do you think you will get?
 Hopefully close to an ounce.

You could be right...about the 3 gallon grow bags....right now the plants are about 6 to 8 inches and still in 1 gallon pots...had no time to set it up today, and, I am going with the light mover....for this space. All posts by this user should be considered fictional and are for entertainment use only.
