Reason you smoke...

Ok yeah well lately ive realized ive been smoking just to get away from things...thats wrong tho. Like today i was thinking about it, and ive been smokin for a lil over a year now and ive gone through a few phases... When i first started it was just the occasional toke cuz it was fun and cool thing to do, Then i started tokin more and it just started to be daily life, then i couldnt get money for it so i started stealing, then shit became bad...but then once again i had a regular supply of it so it was just daily life, for the past 4-6 months its been a regular thing, But the reasons why have changed. First it was because it was fun and something to do with friends, then it started to become to get away from things...thats how it is now, but hopefully im going to do a lot of changing, and also since ive realized it im going to change to smoking where its cuz i enjoy it and it makes things fun. How about you?

I'm a bit like you, Penguin (without the stealing part... life sucks sometimes, don't it?)

I used to do it occasionally just for fun, and gradually I began smoking more and more often. Now, whenever I have some weed, I'll smoke anywhere between 1-4 joints/bowls a day... But when I run out, I make it a point to way a few days before getting some more, just to keep it real

But I don't really know why... I tend to get depressed, like a lot of people on this board, and I guess it helps me out a lot with that... Plus, there's nothing better than relaxing whilst getting stoned!

I have to cross the Hudson River to get back and forth to work. Well after working out in the cold all day and then picketing @ town hall for another hour I just wanted to get home to smoke this killer looking bud I got @ work and watch the Simpsons.
Low and behold I'm past the last exit on the NYS Thruway before the Tappan Zee Bridge and some guy decides to climb to the top and threaten to jump. So I get to sit in My truck for a 1 1/2 hours with a nice bud in my pocket and no way to smoke it. Ths is One of the reasons I smoke weed....

I started out smoking out of curiosity. I then realized that I liked it a lot, but I didn't really start smoking daily or at least a few times a week until now (2 years later). I guess it's because I have a lot of shit going on and it helps keep me level.

Same thing. Used to smoke once in a while because it was fun, then I started doing it daily just to get through life. Now I'm going cold turkey for a while, then I'll start toking occasionally again and hopefully keep it that way.
