Whats the difference?
Hard water contains more minerals like calcium and magnesium, you can tell if your water is hard or soft depending on where you live. Do you live in the UK if so where ?

Whats the difference?
you want a balance of both for growing, although most tap water is pretty hard..depending on where you live. hence the reason you get a water softener for your house.. it softens the water with salt, can't remember the name of it..
I leave my water for at least 24 hours to evaporate any chlorine in the water.. you could try the same?As we live...a life of ease. Everyone of us...has all we need. Sky of Blue...and Sea of Green. In our Yellow Submarine.

Whats the difference?
whats the list, generally in the uk the water gets harder the further south and east u go, but it shouldn't effect the ph of the water very much, tap water is normally quite close to neutral between 6.5 and 7.5. Hope this helps.

Whats the difference?
Any tap-water is considered "hard" because it contains minerals and other shit that isn't normally in water. "Soft" water has been filtered and contains just pure water.

Whats the difference?
you should be able to tell if your water is hard or not quite easily:
1)if you take a shower and it dries your skin->hard
2)if its well water without a purifier or softener->hard
3)try boiling the water in a pan, see whats left over when there no water left. (dont use a really nice pan)
what i do to solve this hard/soft water dillema is just use distilled water. you can get it really cheap if you buy it like 10 gallons at a time in big jugs. this way your guarenteed soft water.
