FlushPlants are at 5 wks now and I started the flushing process to get rid of all the ferts and salts. I used 6 gallons of water on a 2 gal. pot.

I was rather amazed that with the first 3 gallons, the water drained out with a heavy yellow tint and by the end of the last gallon I was draining clear water. I take it the yellow was all the yech I wanted to get rid of....right?

FlushDefentily not done yet, 5 weeks is short short, I think the fastest strain for flowering is 39 days, M-39, which is obviously longer than 5 weeks. Most strains, what is it by the way?, take around 8 weeks. Originally Posted by BobBong Originally Posted by BobBong

 Flush56 days is typical...8 weeks....

is that flushing something I would really really need to do late in the veg growth/early in flowering? I recently realized I had too much ferts in my babies and flushed them out...they started back growing well and stopped drooping...but would I need to do this again? (I'm not giving ferts for a while since the soil already had delayed release nutrients)...And is there a significance in doing that at that stage or did you just need to do it?

FlushOh, btw, look under a magnifying glass at the trichomes...that's the best way to tell if it's time to harvest...they'll be starting to turn brown, but not even quite 50%...when they're starting to turn brown (or yellow or amber), that's when the THC is gonna start trying to break down into 2 less psychoactive components...

Flushno flushing is the process right before harvest, generally 2 weeks before harvest. I like 3 weeks.

it get's the excess nutrients out of the soil and plumps the buds upAs we live...a life of ease. Everyone of us...has all we need. Sky of Blue...and Sea of Green. In our Yellow Submarine.

FlushNorthern Lights from Amsterdam Seeds. I'm keeping an eye (30x) on them for a color change in the trich's. Not to shab for a first grow!

Flushactually, even better than what I said before, look for the trichomes to turn CLOUDY instead of amber or brown...cloudy to yellow is the peak potency...
