Calling all Patients, Producers, John Monad.
I was just looking at the proposed changes by the DOH, at Medical Cannabis Program - Infectious Disease Bureau
It says here, http://www.health.state.nm.us/idb/me...2010%20(2).pdf
Please submit any written comments regarding the proposed rules to:
Medical Cannabis Program

SO my thought on things,
I think if patients harvest more than 6 ounces, they should be able to give it away to other patients, thats just my opinion.
As it is now if a person grows outside and has a good harvest, The DOH's stand is and I quote
"...Also, just as a reminder, at this time, any excess must be turned over to law enforcement for destruction. Giving or selling excess medical cannabis produced by a patient to anyone else is expressly prohibited and illegal.
Thank you,
Dominick V. Zurlo,"
Also I think if you are growing outside you should be allowed a larger harvest, cause you only get one harvest to last you all year.
John as you are in with the NMMCPG maybe we can get together a petition, and you can have each producer send out a copy to their patient client base.
Just have each patient mail out their own copy of the petition.
Just an idea.MimbresValley Reviewed by MimbresValley on . Calling all Patients, Producers, John Monad. MV,
I agree with you on outdoor harvests.
I'm not sure that the Lynn and Erin act spells out exactly what Dominic Z was quoted as saying. We the patients need an attorney "pro bono" to decipher some of the rules.
As far as the NMMCPG is concerned I am not a member and have not been to any of their meetings. However, I do know them all and have their ear.

I know you will do what you can John. I know the producers send out mass messages to their patients, so I figured getting the producers to send out something for the patients to sign and mail into the DOH, would be a good idea.
I just saw this as an opportunity to give the DOH feedback and make some changes since they are already rewording everything. Since you have their ear, if you think its a good idea and it would be worthwhile, maybe you can suggest it to them.
Those would be my two big qualms, outdoor harvests having to last a whole year, and I think patients should be able to give their excess harvest to other patients.Although that does cause a lot more issues when it comes to testing f the patients are giving it back and forth to each other.
Maybe more mature plants allowed, and bump the 6 ounces up to 10 or 12 ounces.
