    Help me relax!

Why not call the employer and ask for your "start date"?

The employers response oughta shed some light on whether youre good to go, or if the employer had simply moved on to the next candidate for hire.

I have a start date of 12/02. Offer letter stated that offer was dependent upon successful passing of drug/background test.

I am feeling somewhat confident as I only smoked a small amount (about 2 grams) 45 days prior to test and had an almost 75 day break prior to that. I was just sympathizing with ninersfan80 about the anxiety of waiting for test results. I am 32 y/o 6 ft 175 lbs.

I wish I was in your shoes I'm sure you're good to go.

Burnt Toast- I am already in the position I will be in. Basically I'm getting
re-hired for the same job by a different company. We've been told when our official start date will be. They aren't interviewing anyone else for our positions they are just making us go through their pre-employment process. If I failed they would have to notify me as I'm scheduled to go to orientation next week and can't go until this stuff goes through.

I registered for this site for the sole purpose of saying thank you to all who post their vast knowledge and advice to ignorant schmuks like me that help to pass pre-employment drug tests. I'll spare you all the exact details of my particular situation, just know that if it weren't for this site, all the posts and N2's sticky's I wouldn't have had a chance! My test came back clean as a whistle and I owe much of to you, my new friends.

OK, if a start date has been secured for the both of you, then simply report to work on that date with the full mindset of a "clean person". In the world of drug testing, no news is good news so dont expect to be informed by the employer that you have passed. And dont discuss anything about the drug test to anyone. Carry on with your duties in the way that a "clean" person would.

I had a sit down with my future manager Thursday morning. Says we are a 100% go and they are excited to have me on board. Since we were over 2 weeks since testing, it appears my anxiety was for nothing. Waiting until my first day of training is complete to "celebrate".
