First of all ive had a cat with the string issue... not fun at all.


As for the sponge... I dont see it being any different than the paper towel. In fact I would be careful using a sponge as the root can pierce it and try to root in the actual spongey material. It is very similar to a rapid rooter material wise. If that happened it could kill your seed trying to pull it out.

Besides, the paper towel method isnt that much of a pain is it?

Just use rapid rooters instead of either way and you will be much happier!

In my opinion, the paper towel germination is ultimately a pain in ass. All you need is... 1-2 Sponges (depending on how many seeds) Chip Clip (the clips you put on chips to keep them fresh) First, you get the sponge nice and moist, but NOT to the point where it's soaking wet.
