Prop 19 did not puff puff pass

We're still not counting the mail-in ballots, not to mention one douchebag in SF decided to run off with a batch of ballots.

The results are not official until December, and that's plenty of time for the other mail-in ballots and absentee ballots to come in with a yes vote for 19 and 19 passing.

Remember, the wheels of government turn VERY SLOWLY. You can't rely upon every news station saying it didn't pass.

^ oh really? does this mean that Californians can assume it passed until proven otherwise until Dec?? :rastasmoke: just kidding, of course. I just would love to see just one coffee house open up now just to say f you to everyone.

The counting of absentee ballots is underway, and the news is not good for Prop 19 fans. As of early this morning No is on 54%, while Yes is on 46%. (Source)

Moreover, Republican and anti-mmj Steve Cooley is pulling ahead of Democrat Kamala Harris for California Attorney General. (Source)

54% is 54% thats over half of the voters,it did not pass time to move on.Also Harris is anti-mmj too,so it doesnt really matter which one wins,do what all the other smart folks have been doing for 16 years already and get a doc recommendation not like its hard.

"54% is 54% thats over half of the voters,it did not pass time to move on."

This is why we can't win - people giving up before the race is even finished.

The 8 point difference is still better than the 12 point difference we had on Election night, and there is still a good chance for it to pass given the San Francisco election interference, which may force that entire voting area to redo their ballots.

Why were so many mom and pop and individual growers so against this? That was a pretty solid defeat which was a suprise to me.....I thought it would be much closer. Seems like Big Growers and Shops favored this, while the little people opposed it. Interesting stuff.

The short and simple of it is that for the most part the mmj grower community was separated into the compassionate vs. the greedy. The prohibitionists divided and conquered.

I don't think anyone should be discouraged by this. Like most people have said it's already "legal" in a way. Cali people have it easier than anyone really, I mean basically all you have to do is go into the doctor and tell them you have some sort of long term pain and you can get a card like that, right? Don't get me wrong, I can't wait until the day that it is legal, but full legalization may take a long time. We have made progress for sure, and that is something to be proud of. Personally, a few years ago I wouldn't have imagined that it would be so close to be legalized(in Cali at least).

For people who say it's over and prop 19 doesn't stand a chance obviously doesn't know math. Yeah, right now the vote is 53.5% for No and 46.5% for Yes. Does anyone seriously not see how close that is? Especially since not all the votes are in and there may be another ballet for the stolen votes. It is currently estimated that 9,933,593 people voted for prop 19, which is only about 27% of the entire state's population. I realize that not EVERYONE will vote for it, but come on man it's Cali... if 73% of the state hasn't voted yet or hasn't been counted, that leaves PLENTY of breathing room. Just because the No vote is at 53.5% does not mean that half the state voted No, it means 53.5% of the votes were for No. There's still over 27 million possible votes that could drastically change those percentages. So kick back, spark a joint, relax and keep the hope... it's not over yet. :rastasmoke:
