    QuickFix Questions

So if any of you have read my other post you know I screwed myself and managed to fail a piss test when I was clean by being too dilute, and then smoking thinking I was safe, only to find out that i would have to retest.

Yeah I know, Im an idiot. My test is next week sometime, and I have to use QuickFix 5.7 and have some questions. I know I could search here and there and find my answers, but Im short on time and if someone could please answer:

    1. Is quickfix microwavable any # of times? I have only one handwarmer and need to heat my sample every morning until the test, is it safe to microwave more than once or should I find a different way to heat?

    and

    2. Does the temp strip show the temp of the liquid inside, or will it give false readings based on my skin temperature, and not necessarily the contents?

    1. Yes, as many as you want.

    2. The temp strip is not totally accurate and can give you an obscure reading. You can buy a digital thermometer to periodically check your temp(which people say make a beeping noise, but can be disabled with a little engineering. I think someone posted how to do this, so try searching).
    Or
You can do what some of us do. After you pour the sample into the cup, check the temperature. If it's too low, then briskly rub your finger on your pants and hold it to the strip on the cup until you reach the desired temp. If its too hot, then lightly blow on the cup until the temperature drops.

I prefer the second method because its less baggage to carry and raising and lowering temp is not that hard.

Thanks Deige, one more question if you dont mind. When it says 'direct sunlight' thats because the UV rays start a breakdown cycle of some sort, if I had to guess. So just having the QF out in normal office-fluorescent lighting would be ok? (not for long exposures, just to check the temperature while making notes on how the temp is dropping over time).

You got it. As long as its out of direct sunlight, it should stay good for 18 months.
