Yup...when I told my friends how little of the smuggled in dope we were intercepting and how many billions it was costing us, they couldn't believe it. Then I told that that I was sick of wasting all that money and that I was going to vote yes. They all know I spent years in the military doing counterdrug work in Central and South America, so that was a real eye opener for them. The eldest of them (~82) asked me if I was really going to vote yes, and when I assured that that I was, he said, "Well, then I guess I will too."

I could hardly believe my ears.
