only 2 % off on prop 19
I've done a great deal of canvassing here in Long Beach, which is generally pretty liberal. The lion's share of support comes from young people, who are tickled to see somebody actually out there pitching the prop!
The best line I used while talking to people was this: "Drug dealers don't ask for ID."
That made a lot of people think twice. Even a man who told me he was "in recovery" nodded agreement.
What we must remember is that 19 isn't the free-weed Shangri-la we'd like to see.
It was written to PASS.
That's the genius of it. I'd love free, local, awesome cannabis freedom free of corporate (and their puppets in government) control, but that will never happen. Get real.
This is the first battle of a long war. Get on it and stay on it! :rastasmoke:
