Resin?

Is resin good to smoke? I recently acquired a piece and have been using it for some time now w/o cleaning it, it is CAKED with resin (about a 1/4 inch layer, plus i see nuggets of resin on the bottom of the piece). I usually just clean my piece and throw out the resin but I am out of bud and want to get high tonight. Should I smoke it? I've heard you get a phenomenal high but others say it sucks. Reply soon, I am trying to blaze tonight.

PS: I don't get headaches from smoking stems (yes, i have done this) if that helps.

you can smoke it, it will get you high...it will taste like shit however.

nah don't smoke that crap, its full of carcinogens and will give you headaches more than high. resin from pipes is not hash or resin from a plant ts mostly tar and flem

I remember doing this from my rookie years in a moment of sheer desperation.
Doing this depends on how desperate you are. If you are totally out of smoke this will suffice and do the job but it will cost you. Like madsative said and headshake said it will taste horrible and will likely give you a pounding headache. Only do as a last resort when you feel as if you are going to go crazy from not having any smoke and you have already searched your area for nugs (including secret places) and not found any and you feel as if you are going to die.

I mean, I've done it, and I've gotten really high, but I would put it low on the list of desirable means of smoking. It will really burn(Unless you get a large ball and put it in a bong), and tastes like shit, but will do the job in a last ditch effort.

You sure can smoke it, and you sure as hell can get high. I have no qualms doing it myself, though I would never do it if I had fresh ganj available. Like many have said, it is a last resort. Doesn't taste as bad as smoking legal "buds"

I used to have a US Bong that had a chamber that you could fill with weed and it would be resinated during normal use. I put some weed in that chamber when it was new. Forgot all about it 'til we were dry and desperate one day and I looked into the chamber. The mess in there looked like opium or something. We smoked it and got high as a kite. Harsh, harsh, harsh . . . but it works.

I'd probably smoke it in a pinch, but then I've already abused my lungs so badly they'd just say "Is that all you got, pansy?!?" :smokin:

:thumbsup:hellz ya you can smoke that! how you think they make hash? RESIN (of course not the black shit at the bottom of the bowl however)...my bowl gets a good scrape about once every 2 months when im out of smoke.
