browny sticky stuff in the middle of the stem..help???

Can you
1. Get a few decent pictures
2. Fill out the troubleshooting form ????

I've scraped the brown stuff from the stem for now and going to leave it for a day or two to see if there's any signs of spreading, if it has i shall take some pictures mate, also where is this troubleshooting form?
