I would not recommend trying to make your own sulfur burner, because if you get the temperature too high, the sulfur will burn your plants (I've done it). The more pure sulfur is, the better. A small quart of it costs only about $10. The burner itself is perhaps $80, can't remember, its been a few years ago since I bought mine.
If you can keep the relative humidity down, you will have less problems. I haven't seen any in my room for 2-3 years.

What has been said, plus I would recommend since it's a clone using a temporary spray to go ahead and kill it for the moment, and the sulfur burner will absolutely suppress and eliminate it from there.

Are you certain it's PWM and not a residue from the previous owner foliar feeding?

powdery White mildew on clone. treatment??
thank you all for your help! =D
i have since aquired a fungicide/insectiide/miticide(safer than most) spray, called Fungicide 3. its meant to be used for edible plants, so as long as i give it some time before smoking the buds i should be ok. I think. =)
This spray is most definitely working, so i am sure it is a PWM. Im also sure because my source had been combatting it on his mother plant.
As for the sulfur burner, im not sure it will be necessary. I have fans that dry out the room relatively quickly. Still, im setting money aside to look into buying a good one =) but i want to give a few weeks for this spray to run its course, and asess the progress that is made.
