    Clone problem

Ok i started cloning like roughly a week and a half ago. My plants are not getting any roots, I'm using a buble cloner, with cloneX gel, Ph water and super thrive. I'm thinking should I just switch to water cloning instead? my Leaves are turning yellow and look kinda sickly.

how close is the light? sounds like the plants are burning up all the nutrients before they are able to build roots.

OMG! That is a shit load of light for clones! I'd be using two 10w or two 13w cfl's on that, Not 4 t5's, no way. I don't know about the fancy schmancy bubble cloner but I'd guess no nutes yet. I just do it the old fasioned way with a dome, spray bottle and rapid rooter plugs.

Then how would you clone then, give me a technique to try and I shall.

    Clone problem

Here is a previous thread where I, along with several other folks gave tips and techniques:
    http://boards.cannabis.com/growing-i...procedure.html

Unfortunately we were not talking about a bubble cloner devise. I'm not necessarily saying you should abandon the bubble cloner because it's been widely successful for lots of folks. Most folks with bubble cloners also leave the stem hanging out the bottom of the plug, watch a bunch of YouTube vids to see what most have done successfully. While I can not advise too much on hydro, I have noticed most don't use a bubble cloner lid either. If you do use a lid be sure to leave it open a bit, perhaps twist it so the corners are open some. I'd put a temp/humidity meter in there to monitor temp/humidity. After the first few days open the lid to let them "air out and breathe" for a few minutes. They leaves should never remain wet and drippy for long. And less light, maybe two 13w CFL's sitting right on top or very close.

One more thing, great selection on the rapid rooter plugs. You should, however, take a little chunk and plug up the hole where the plant goes in to both; keep the air from getting in and drying it out, and it helps the cutting to stay solid and not wobble around and tear off the very first delicate roots. NOTE: This time I would not go back and plug the holes because disturbing them now could rip any roots that have started to form.

For now it looks like all is NOT lost. I'd trim the bad leaves after they are mostly no longer green or dead. I'd let them air at least once a day. If they don't wilt after 30 min try loosing the lid but watch closely. If they wilt again put it back for a few days more and try again.

That is a very fair question. I hate when folks say you're doing it wrong but also offer no help! I'm not that guy.

Good Luck and please keep us posted.

definitely too much light. they are trying to photosynthesize too much and are burning up their nutes. like Doc said, a CFL or two until they are well rooted.

some yellowing will be normal. make sure your pH is good in the bubblecloner.

Ok well this lil whore of mine is lighting up my babies with a 20watt cfl. Should I get more? Also I ditched the dome kept the air rocks and now i'm doing a water cloning. I watched a bunch of vids on it and it seemed better for the moment. Until I get this process down with cloneX I will continue to just use this method. Should I go get more Mylar car shields to keep the light in? Plz leave comments. So far I thanks all who are helping me.

    :wtf:

I've only lost a handful of clones with a similar setup,...96w 4 tube T-5, about .5" from the dome

I'm just using rapid rooters, and a dome, no fancy bubbler, but I'd agree, no nutes yet.

Shakes post does make me think about pulling 2 tubes out next time I do a run to lower the light level. It may be the key to the survival of the "Larger" clones that I've tried, and failed with.

4-6" tall and branching, are the one's I've failed with 100%,... when I've taken the normal 2-4 nodes of growth I've been averaging 98%+ success.:hippy:
