What homemade smoking method is easiest on one's lungs?

My girlfriend is very timid and can only usually handle a few tokes before her lungs hurt too much to keep smoking, whether it is a joint or a bowl or bong. Of course some days are better than others but this is the general case.
So what things that I could construct at home that would make smoking a little more pleasant for her are possible? THANKs

does she smoke ciggs,if so hold of on the cigs before puffing the mj.....or take lighter hits and dont hold it in?

Hands down or hands up what ever but a bong. easy to make add water and definitely the best homemade device cools smoke and filters tar. In the future i recommend a vaporizer or a glass on glass bong

As far as homemade goes.. the best you can really make is a bong.. (bongs will filter your smoke...just look at the water when you are done), so heres a recipe for a "rapid fire" water pipe i made

1. Materials: a Gatorade bottle or a bottle with similar strength and size, a joint, and a straw.
2. poke two holes (one the size of the straw at the base, the other for the carb.. start small, you can always ad)
3. insert a straw into the straw hole (make sure the straw has a airtight seal), and a joint into the straw (tight fit needed at well).
4. fill bottle with about 3/4 to 1 cup water and ice
5. make sure your straw is under water.
6. smoke away, adjusting the carb size as needed

Uhhhhh, to be honest, I'd stay away from that method. The hot temperatures from the joint might vaporize the plastic material in the straw, causing worse problems with the lung problems. I'd recommend the thread starter to go out to his head shop, and buy a glass downstem and bowl. With that glass downstem and bowl, you can practically make any plastic bottle or even glass bottle (If you have a glass cutting drill bit, which I had) into a water pipe/bong. Trust me and invest in the $20-$30 glass pieces, and enjoy chemical-free smoke.

How to make the bong with the glass downstem/bowl, just cut a hole into the bottle, and put the glass downstem in, if you do it right, you won't need any sealing. But if you made the hole too large, use gum to seal the hole, trust me, it's pretty ghetto, but it works, and it's readily available.
