    Mamas grow (hydro)

Hi there everyone. Tomorrow i go and get my clones and i am doing the final touches on the room and making sure the water and everything is perfect. I made a little boo boo...i lowered the PH to low my test kit says that it is at 4.0 or lower.....oooppppssss. I dont have any extra cash to buy something to bring it up is there something that i can do with something i may already have? Q: If i just add some un adjusted water to it would that throw it way up again or could it bring it to where i want it? My un adjusted water is at 8.8 (i know its high). Tomorrow after i get my new babies in their new homes i will post pictures. I know i am getting some more G-13 and i am not sure what else i will give a full update tomorrow.

    Im so excited!!

Please keep the posting nice this is so i can get and give help when needed.
    Thank you!!!

You may want to post a thread concerning your new project in the Hydroponics Forum. Alot of good people there to help ya out.

I would just bring it up with more water, and take into consideration the nutrients being diluted as well(if they are already added to the water you ph'd)

Ill be posting my thread in an hour or two, my girls just making some dinner right now. Hopefully its cool with the mods, ill post it up in hydroponics, and over here as well. It seems like alot of the NM folks, only post in the NM section, so it will be here to help them as well.

hey guys, i agree a grow log or something similar in the grow log of hydro would be good.

But as far as the Ph being to low, that is not a problem. your going to need some more water from the tap or your filter if its Ph is about 6 or 7 or higher, then just add, however be warned your going to have to add half or more I would think so if you have a gallon (of 4.0 water) possible 2 or 3 gallons (of higher Ph tap water) to bring that Ph down, maybe more, but that just means you will have more water prepared. then just remember to let the water sit uncovered for about 12 hours or more, if you can, if you cant probably not to bad, this is for chlorine evaporation. so just add normal non phed water. the attempt is to mix the higher Ph (un Ph balanced by you) water from the tap or filter and add it to the lower ph'ed water. Check your Ph after about 15 mins after mixing.
another thing is you can use that 4.0 water to Ph balance your water for your rez in the future, cause the thing is once the water is phed to about 4 or so, then it becomes somewhat concentrated Ph balance, but not really. in other words in stead of putting Ph down for the next month or so just use the 4.0 water, to balance the water. the reason I say this is because if you have 1, gallon of 4.0 water it will take about 2 or 3 gallons of 7.0 (or a higher PH) to get it back to 5.8.

good call on the add back mads,
I personally wouldnt worry to much about the chlorine, unless you are running beneficial microbes, but thats just me.
I have used zone from dutchmaster before, its just cloramines for those folks who like a sterile reservoir.

I havent added nutrients yet i wont be untill i have had my babies in hydro for at least a week.
The water that we are using is purified water. We bought a water purifier and we are only using purified water. It has also has been sitting open for a day or so. I am going to add some more water to it in a few to try to adjust to PH. Thanks for the tips.

I think i posted this already on another thread, but use baking soda to raise your ph.
As far as the purified water thing, you should learn about ppm levels if you are not already familiar with them.

Got the water at 5.5 and picked up my plants yesterday morning, 4 G-13 with really pretty beards on them. It has been 24 hours since we placed them in the hydro and so far they are looking good. One is a little droppy but i am just gonna kinda leave it be i am thinking it was just the shock of the transplant.
Other then that things are looking good.
The little ones in the back are my mystery seeds they are also looking good.

cannabis actually tolerates low levels of chlorine (chloride). it is fundamental in photosynthesis and cell divisin in the roots and foliage. it also regulates osmotic pressure in the cells which opens/closes the stomata to regulate moisture within the plant.

a deficiency and excess show the same sytmpoms, although a deficiency is uncommon. young leaves pale and wilt, and if the problem progresses leaves become chlorotic and show a distinct bronze color.

i do concur that most municipal water sytems probably put way too much chlorine in. just wanted to share.

So took a look at my ladies a few minutes ago and they are looking good but one. I am pretty sure that last one is not liking the hydro and really dont think it is going to survive, but its ok because the others look great. I lifted the lid to check the air stones and to my pleasant surprise they have already got new roots coming out of the net pot. They are pretty white and very healthy looking. All three have new growth coming up. Yay! i am so excited. Next weekend i will give them thier first taste of nutrients and i will take more pictures then as well. I would like to post pictures every Saturday.
Thank you for reading hope you all have a fantastic day!!
