There is no meaning attributed to the intensity of a line. To conclude that a faint line means "borderline" would be speculating (and wrongfully so) since home tests, like all assays, lack the ability to yield a quantitative value. Assays are a Pass/Fail endeavor.

Even synthetic urine controls (which contain no drug metabolites at all) can produce a faint line on an assay.

A faint line still counts as a line, and if a line appears in the T region, its a negative.
