My clone is dry and looks odd, plus lost its smell?

Yeah, something is going on there, the roots at the bottom have a brownish color, not healthy. Again, flush, repot, and no nutes....in that order.

Well iv done this while it was out of the pot, they were not as bad as it looks in the pic as most roots were nice and white. And before it was put in this pot about a month, all of those roots grew. I didn't see a one root when it came out of the last pot, which the clone started from. I think there is a deficiency, plus i need to recalibrate my Ph pen next.
