So far it looks like your on the right track.

Personally I like Panda over Mylar, It's only 2% less reflective 96% instead of 98%. but it diffuses better and reflects less heat.

The 400 will be plenty of light, just keep an eye on the temps. My flowering room is 4.5x2.5x7 foot, with a 400. I wound up running a portable swamp cooler on my intake to help bring temps in line, and I've got an 8" exhaust out of the room, and a seperatly exhausted air cooled hood.

As for the soil, Terps nailed it. Ocean forest is considered to be a bit hot to start seedlings or clones in, however I've never had a problem.

Once you get your girls going,.... I've found that I can only fit 2-3 plants in flower at a time. Unless I do em as clones, but then I'm only yielding 1/4oz per plant finished! I"m too limited on plant count so I would rather flower trees and pull 2-3 oz per plant

The downfall of tree's under a 400 is the light will only penetrate about a foot and a half into the canopy. Look into either Sea Of Green style growing or with fewer plants, Screen Of Green.

Good luck and happy growing! :hippy:
