I dont know where your from but id suggest you visit a grow store or hydroponics store and pick up some better supplies, it will save you alot of headaches in the future. for one, watch out with that miracle grow potting soil as most of it contains time released nutrients (little round balls that contain nutrients in them and the outer coating breaks down over time releasing the nutes into the soil) this is bad because you never no when those little balls might burst so its hard to determine how much nutes your plants are actually getting!

Another thing id watch out for is those pH soil probes (they also have soil moisture probes) they are cheap and MIGHT work at first but over time the moisture in the soil corrodes the probe and they WILL NOT work properly. You can look on line and get a cheap pH pen for around 50 bucks, or you could use a pH kit for a pool (around 7 bucks & then u need a bottle of pH down and pH up) ...there is no sense in having a pH monitoring device if you dont have pH up or pH down.

Work on lowering your temps. If all else fails try freezing a few 2 liter soda bottles that are filled with water and place them infront of a fan in the grow cabinet (Ghetto air conditioning!)

whats the deal with the floodlamps? have you researched these and found them to be beneficial to vegging? are they the right wave length (degrees kelvin) you want 6500 kelvin for vegetative growth, it should be printed on the bulb some where and should be a cool blue color to them. Those floodlamps might produce more heat then usable light for your plants....personally id stick with the CFL's. and keep those CFL's as close to the plants as u can without burning them

In the veg closet id also suggest (because of the lack of light) you head to walmart and get some cheap (2$) emergency blankets from the camping section. this is a CHEAP but USEFUL form of mylar.

And with your budding cabinet only being 5.5 ft tall, and using a 400watt hps you are going to want to do a little research in LST (Low Stress Training) ...basically tieing your plants down so they dont grow as tall. you need about a foot in-between your light and the canopy of the plant (for the hps) and a 5 gallon bucket is over a foot tall so that rly only leaves less than 3 feet of plant room in your cabinet...which may seem like alot but its not!

...It looks like your off to a good start, take your time and keep on reading and gaining knowledge before you start, nothing worst then getting all this expensive equipment only to have your plants die 3/4 the way threw or grow some shity weed (quality and quantity)
Terps Reviewed by Terps on . First growroom setup WhiteWidow 2 stage Growrooms So this is my first thread and my first grow so this should be rather interesting. So my roommate and I are setting up our own shop, in one closet will be 4' x 2' x 5.5' tall. This is the one that will be used as our budding room an is in my closet. I setup this one already I built a 2x2 frame wrapped in black poly on the outside and black and white poly (pandafilm) on the inside. I have a 10 inch intake fan on the top, but I am thinking about changing that to the exhaust fan and running a 4" Rating: 5
