Saw Ray in concert in '66-'67 in an armory. Billy Preston played organ before he played with the Beatles. when Ray sang Georgia, the ladies in the crowd went wild, screaming "sing it Ray baby". And it was a predominately black audience. My girlfriend at the time and another male friend and I were the only white people there. Like three snowflakes on a coal bank!!! :S2: :thumbsup:

Same thing happened to me at a free Wilson Pickett concert. I had a great time....:thumbsup:..'67.And it was a predominately black audience. My girlfriend at the time and another male friend and I were the only white people there. Like three snowflakes on a coal bank!!! :S2: :thumbsup:

Saw Buddy Miles in concert. His band was so tight that during a song, when some rent-a-cops started hassling some stoners, he stopped the band (on a dime) and told the cops to quit hassling those people. The band then picked up the song on the exact beat like you had raised a stylus on a record and then put it right back down. Good stuff man.
Not sure what the deal is with the babes in this video, but I went with it.
