    induction grow lighting

    I've been using 2 of the 100 watt induction lights for clone and veg and so far they have produced nicely over the 400 watt metal halides.

    So for flower and bud I was told that I'd have to up the wattage to their 400 watt series. Before I actually replace my 1000 watt HPS and put these up has anyone had any actual experience with 400 watt induction lamps for flower and bud? How were the yields?

    Here is a link to a grow using a 200 watt Parmax EFDL. It is its' fifth week of flower but you can follow it from the begining. Not the best of grow room design but results speak for themselves.YouTube - Inductiongrow

    Seriously, not bad at all.

    Bubbas, you know you can insert the video into the post? Hit the YouTube tab and insert all after the =. In short that is, use preview post to see if it worked as below.

    Thanks for the video and what a gorgeous baby you have there. I ordered 2 of the inda-gro 400 watt lights for about three times the area (8x8) in your video. I don't think I'll need any side lighting with that setup. What do you think though?

    The light in this video would have easily done a 4X4 area. The grower decided to just grow one plant but has new post with about five plants in it now. The problem with the Inda gro ones are they are they wrong spectrum. They are 5300K which is good for vegging but has too less red wavelengths for a good flower cycle. The supplimental cfl's used were only to supply extra UV light for extra trichome production but is not required. The light used in the video is a 300 watt 2700K set up.

    thanks for that input. I am really digging the 100 watters so far. but for flower/bud where do you recommend to buy?

    also did you see the inda-gro lamp life schedule that puts these lamps at 100,000 running hours?
    it's at the bottom of the link. compared to the other lamps they show that's unheard of. whadya think? Can any lamp run tbat long and keep up the light?

    After seeing it I'll say one thing that really jumped out at me was the metal halide falls off lumen output pretty fast. For me that probably explains some of my earlier grows veg irregularities.

    Hey Bubbas,

    Thats a very useful fact to know! Sadly i cant view te video cause im based in China for a few more months...but i will when i get the chance xD.
    May i know what induction lamp did you use? I am interested in this because i am currently working with a chinese manufacturer of induction lights and they too have 2700k, 5000k and 6400k and i am not an expertise on these technicalities, so if you could give me some insight, it would be greatly appreciated!
