Great now i wish they would address the doctors fees too. 150 bucks is hard to swallow yearly for me when i live on pennies each month.
I wrote them about both these issues. I wouldnt mind going through a more stringent exam to get a permanent card or a mulitple year card. What i have is ankylosing spondilitis and chrons disease. Neither are curable and neither or getting better or going anywhere and the chrons is going to kill me one day with the complications i am having. I have more doctors and records and cat scans MRIs xrays than probably 5 average people put together.
So why do i need scrap up money every year to help get some doctor get even richer than he already is.
I am eliigble for the tax break but i figured i would not apply for it and do my part to help. A couple bucks a months i am willing to do to support the MMJ cause and community.
This should be about helping patients in need not about making money and unfornately thats what 1284 did.

I agree wholeheartedly.
The cards should be for 10 years or life for conditions which don't resolve.
The states biggest hurdle with all of this crap is processing paperwork. They are so far behind now, it's not inconceivable for a patient to ALWAYS have an app waiting to be approved by the CDPHE - perhaps the most poorly run agency in the state.

I agree for the most part. I think certain conditions warrant a longer valid period. And I think all cards should be good for at least 3 years. That alone would help solve much of the agency's problems (well eventually at least).

Too bad they are using such restrictive standards. Only if your on Food stamps or SSI (No SSDI) & have an income in the range of $900 (approx) or less.
Give me a break according to this standard $959 a Month and you can't even qualify for a tax break or a free MMJ card.
