His first post says he hasn't tested pH yet, so I'm guessing the likelihood is that the soil just low on mg, even though it's FoxFarm. I suspect that potting soils are made with the idea that the grower understand the soil well, and whether any nutes should be added. Since it's a soil grow and that golden spotting tends to be mg def, I'm guessing that a shot of epsom salt will help out. Also, I've seen mg def develop in grows that were using city water, so I have no proof that it shouldn't happen for these plants. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
