    need help ASAP!!

doomba, put a teaspoon of epsom salt (not heaping) in a gallon of water, dissolve it well, then give the plants that. after that, only water when the soil gets pretty dry. I don't know the fert you're using but I'm guessing that you could use a microfert booster. General Hydroponics makes one. It'll probably work just fine for a soil grow. It's not pH. You're low on magnesium.

it would be odd that he is having a magnesium deficiency when he's using tap water. i'm not saying it's not or couldn't be, but normally there is enough cal/mag in tap water. that also doesn't explain why only some of his plants have the issue. looking at the soil pH chart, a low pH will cause magnesium not to be uptaken, it starts to decline rapidly at about 6.0, and on the high sigh you get full uptake until ~8.5. just an observation.

His first post says he hasn't tested pH yet, so I'm guessing the likelihood is that the soil just low on mg, even though it's FoxFarm. I suspect that potting soils are made with the idea that the grower understand the soil well, and whether any nutes should be added. Since it's a soil grow and that golden spotting tends to be mg def, I'm guessing that a shot of epsom salt will help out. Also, I've seen mg def develop in grows that were using city water, so I have no proof that it shouldn't happen for these plants. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
