Is Cannabis a Gateway Drug?
in my opinion the gateway theory is bs. yes, weed is the most common first time illegal drug, but what's the next step? coke, acid, shrooms? none of which come close to being like weed in any way shape or form. it's a cognitive thought to want to try something else. this theory is essentially just a way to escape being responsible for ones own children. i mean "my kids wouldn't ever try drugs" etc etc.
i agree with you about caffeine DW. i am still highly addicted to caffeine, but i'm working on it!

id say Skateboarding, bars, dance clubs and stuff like that are just as big of "Gateways" to drugs as cannabis is, hell my best connection i met at youth group in church! so does that make church youth group a "Gateway" to cannabis?
If you dont want to dabble or experiment in hard drugs then dont associate with those types of people. there are plenty of stoners that are STRICTLY weed

no no gate way drug, going into the hood or on campus is not part of the gate way effect, apples and cauliflowers here. If you didn't want herb you would be in these places or dealing with peoples that you mean anyway. Just wouldn't be buying herb. Not a valid argument, I could be drooping someone off at work in a neighborhood that is not mine and the worst can happen, doesn't even have to be a bad neighborhood. If you get your self in a situation you should have though of what to do when something wrong happens.

^ true, for the record the few times I got offered add on sales was when I used to live in L.A. and would go to the drive thru district in the hood. I would just say no and take my herb and be on my way. probably not really that common for most transactions.
