Is Cannabis a Gateway Drug?

I believe it is. Not in the way that the D.A.R.E. program says it is. I think that it is a Gateway drug because of the people you must associate with in order to get pot. They RARELY have access to only pot. Usually, you can get what you want. And if you're not sure, they will even give you a little taste for free!

Once again, I believe that cannabis is a Gateway drug ONLY because of where MOST people have to go to get it.

exactly, the gateway effect is a self fullfilling prophecy perpetuated by the people most upset about it: the probibs. :wtf: I can cite several instances where I've bought on the streets and been asked if I want some Coke, too.

In contrast, the first time I bought at a legal medical coop the only add on sale I was asked about was if I needed a vaporizer after they explained why vaping is so much healthier.

My first was alcohol as well. Funny the withdrawals you get when your body craves it. I've cut my alcohol consumtion way down, but my cannabis consumption went up. My wife and I are good with that because we think cannabis is less harmful than alcohol.

nope pots not a gateway drug the real gateway drug is cigs we were smoking cigs as kids before I even knew what pot was it depends on the person if your going to be a crackhead or methhead your going to be a crackhead or methhead from birth it has nothing to do with if you smoked weed before its all your dna.I know people who only smoked weed once and moved on to pcp it had nothing to do with weed .

No, Really what you describe is a full blown Pusher. Dealers sell and don't give freebee's cause they hate a moooch.
Pushers on the other hand keep lesser drugs around to bait the not so smart ones into a heavier drug. Their glad to get you started on the addiction highway.
