Relatively new to rolling my own joints

I've now been smoking for almost 21 years now. I have always been able to roll a smokable joint, but talk about a guppy or sometimes what amounts to a windsock, after a couple of papers. One of my problems is lack of dexterity with my short, fat fingers. I always ended up either tearing it or losing my herb running out the ends. SOoooo, I have used a Tops roller for years. There are a couple tricks to it, but the end product is sweet! I can roll a J with enough herb to get medicated 3 times! BUT, you risk overpacking. A large straightend paperclip run through the middle and it hits like a champ. I've always found that if I pull off the main stem of a bud, from bottom to top you can avoid the main stem and a grinder will take care of the smaller stuff.

That being said, I found a video tutorial by(didn't even know who he was before this) Wiz Khalifa on youtube and have been rolling decent J's since. The trick for me is twisting that one end. He's a cocky little guy, but his method has worked well for me.

I still prefer the grinder, but when not available either a shotglass and a pair of scissors, or by hand. Here's what I roll by hand after watching the tutorial. Not perfect, but pretty in it's own way.

Nice write up! I have the same problem as you so when I roll my joints I twist up both ends like you did with just that one. That way they stay extra fresh right up until I smoke it. Then I just cut the ends off with a pair of scissors and away a smoke.

I just purchased the magic flight launch box so I'll never need to roll again. I used to only roll when I was out and about and I couldn't bring my vape with me. Also when I smoked joints and went back in(I would bring them on my pool league and also my bowling league) I would smell so bad that almost every person in the place said something or just looked at me funny. So now I don't even smell when I come in and no one is the wiser. Actually the first time I used the MFLB the other day at pool leagues I hit it in the bathroom and no one noticed a thing lol. Vaping is the way to go!

Thank you! I'm gearing up to quit cigs and want a vape. Of course, I like the Volcano but $$$$! I believe I saw an Iolite? that would bag or whip but isn't portable. I've only found a few bad reviews on the MFLB and they were mostly just apathetic "Meh, just another pipe.". Most of the reviews have been very good. And I guess I'll add this one too!
