Look at it this way: Look at how many different kind of cats we have around the world today, like lions, tigers, leopards, cheetahs, ocelots, lynx, right down to our little house cats. If you go back far enough in time, there was only 1 kind of cat, which was the ancestor to all the felines living today. Each kind of cat evolved separately from the others because they split up a long time, lived in a completely different environment, ate completely different kinds of prey, etc. Now, the question your asking would be similar to asking, "if there are tigers (the biggest, strongest feline predators out there), why are there still jaguars, house cats, etc.?"

Because they aren't the sme animals anymore, because they didn't go extinct (yet), because they developped in COMPLETELY different ways (in case you hadn't noticed... )

The biggest misconception about evolution is to say that we evolved from those primates that are still around today. We didn't evolve from chimps, but if you go back in time far enough you'll find that humans and chimps evolved from the same species, which now doesn't exist.

We evolved from early hominids, or early 'human-like' animals, which don't exist anymore. However, all those millions of years-old fossils we're finding are of those early hominids, and those extinct species are ones which we evolved from.

Hope that's clear, if not, tell me.
    HEY WATCH IT THERE....

You have stepped out of line friend. No more will I take the time to read your one-sided posts. If you have so much faith behind your "Republican" party than you would have the effort to live with higher standards, rather than totally establish the democrat society as "pussies" or "crybabies". What if I poked out all the monotonous republicans out of a puzzle and chucked them on the side, then after label them all "rednecks"? This labeling issue has to end my friend; you have a head of stereotypical comments. If you took the time to understand politics and study the legit issues with our government, then you would alter your demanding words. Saying that, I am only imparting the logic I have gathered through various years as a teenager. I might be young, but I can atleast honestly state that I can properly comprehend a majority of the lies we have all been fed on the spoon of the media. Straighten up man, if you have such powerful beliefs than defend them with formal arguments...rather than deny any other opinion that is read. We all have hearts, we all have brains, we all have feelings. You will never be able to classify one (stable) genre of people with all the random shambled diversities of people around the world. Knowing that, I can wholeheartedly say your words, at the moment, are composed of pure, vile, and grotesque thought.

    Try and be unique....

Karma will get you in the long run anyways...

A good start would be to change that ignorant and obscene avatar...old man.

LOL. It almost sounds like some of you regard political thought like you do fashion. "Uh, redneck republican? Soo last week. How drab."

Amsterdam I appreciate your approach to the issues- you take a case by case basis of EACH issue, not simply pick a camp and find out what your beliefs are according to what side you pick. "Ok, so I'm on the blue team, now how do we feel about abortion and interstate freeway routing funds again?"
