Can you help me decide when to start the 7 day flush if I want to biggest couchlock high possible for my single plant ?

i belive u want the trichs to get rusty brown for the couchlock high and cloudy white for the "head high"

Yes but what I'm wondering is how long does it take for a milky trichome to turn amber. I want about 70% of trichs to be amber when I harvest but want to flush with water for 7 days before harvest.

If I want 70% amber, when do I start flushing for 7 days ... 40%, 50%, 60% ????

flushing has nothing to do with the trichomes turning amber...it's a time thing

2-3 weeks is a common time frame; for milky/cloudy trichomes turning to amber..(13 weeks flowering)

Yes I know but the trichs will continue to change while I'm flushing so I want to flush at the right moment so that I end up with 70% amber after 7 days of giving the plant only water !

for me that means switching to water after week #13 flowering

25% amber will provide plenty of couchlock...& lots of cottonmouth..trust me.

my plants look like they are at the same stage as yours. i have been harvesting a couple of flowers to check on the differences during the stages of trich development. i might get two different highs from just one plant.

i see what your saying...its a little tricky.It would help to have a beeter pic of the buds not the leaves.I suggest you take a sample put it in the microwave on very low temp to dry.Smoke some and test the high.When your getting close to the high you want start your flush.By that time you should be dropping alot of dead leaves:rastasmoke:Show us what the whole plant looks like

LOL ... Nikon S640 using the macro function and zooming on the image with a picture viewer + cropping with paint so I can post them !
