why doesnt it smell stanky?

you have been curing it for a week and it still smells like hay. well rememer your is the frshest it can be. the stuff we are use to was grown somewhere in mexico and smuggled into the country and then broken down to be passed around and god only knows how long that has taken for it get to you.
and remember these are rules of thumb guide lines so to speak and every bud is different. some dry faster than other big and some smaller. so just relax and enjoy the friuts of your labor. if you let it dry untill the stem snapped and kept it cool and dry for a week in a containor then you are good to go., just becuase it still smells like hay doesnt mean its not done ready to go.
some people cant reisit putting it in a dehydrator and drying in hours and smoking it right away. still get you just as high if you went thru the whole process. it still smells like hay....so if your looking for the sticky smelly buds you bought form a buddy who got it from a buddy you will habe months of curing to get what your use to.....jsut my thoughts

Really? I've personally seen fresh clipped buds that REEK. Never seen any that smelled like hay...

maybe i shouldnt have said hay. how about fresh cut grass, anything other than the stanky sticky weed we are acustom to

So, basically you mean the plants natural smell while in vegg, not the dank bud smell...

Part of the cure process. Often buds will loose smell during this phase and indeed smell like hay. Just the chlorophyll still in the product. Cure more. It will improve over time, each species will have different lengths of time for the dank to return.
