grow room for beginners?
...for jumping in there, and getting some lil' ones started!
I agree with keylime about dividing the room into two sections, though you might wanna make the split more like 60/40 if possible, with the larger room reserved for flowering plants (which are inherently larger, usually, than the ones you're vegging). Make sure your flowering room is totally light-tight, as light leaks when the plants are sleeping can spoil or massively delay a crop.
Also, think about your ventilation, and try to establish / maintain a room temperature of 78f/25c. Also, make it easy to adjust the height of your lights, without having things too flimsy and possibly falling on your plants.
You might want to line the floor with some heavy plastic, too, and run it up the walls at least six inches to act as a splash/spillguard. Or keep a mop and bucket handy.
As far as the seedlings go, try to give 'em 18/6 light, with a 'regular bedtime', and treat 'em well, and you're more likely to get females than if you stress 'em and treat 'em rough.
Just my :twocents:
