Basic PH
So for weeks I've been able to maintain my ph between 5 and 6
I change my res weekly
today I checked my ph and it was a little in the acidic side so I added "ph up" a ph kit the organix store gave me
I added a few drops and now my res is aroun 7.5 maybe even 8
how will this affect my ladies if at all??dkm287 Reviewed by dkm287 on . Basic PH
The acidity of your nutrients goes up when you put in PH Down, and the reverse when you put in PH Up.

Tiny is right. PH is critical for our hobby and even moreso for hydro growing.
At 8.0 they will be toast soon.

Basic PH
Sooooo again my PH has spiked this time to it's lowest point (right around 4)
WTF!
Also my roots are sitting in the water because I'm using the drip system in 5 gallon buckets
I'm changing the water but in the mean time should I do anything with the roots to get the low PH'd water off the roots?
And Another question... I heard somethig aboyut spraying seltzer water/club soda/tonic water on the plants and roots does wonders?? True??

Gh farm kit

airpump moves water from resevoir that is directly underneath plant in 5 gl bucket and it drips out into hydroton where the plant is planted (the cap of the bucket)
using flourescent light 12/12
plants are 4 weeks old and there are 4 of them
nutrient solution I'm using is general hydroponics "floragrow" etc..

on Ph 6 water for a time, they need to be well flushed.
In a closed system this will mean changing to water several times a day.
After a few days of flushing, I would add some Hygrozyme or peroxide to the water. There is something growing in the roots media pumps somewhere in the system that needs eliminated. you need to act fast or plan on staring all over after a teardown, and stearlizing
