Help! No experience....weed

Hii everyone,am new & I was hopin someone her could help me out.
My ex boyfriend gave me a small 10 bag of weed,but I've never smoked any before........I wanna smoke it in a bong,but I'm not entirely sure how that works and if it works? I don't want it getting wasted,so am not going to roll it,because whatever I roll burns funny.
Could you just tell me a sure way to smoke it?
Also I have smoked a spliff before....a few tokes from a friend.

Just break a good piece up, removing seeds and stems, and pack it in the bowl. Light the bowl and inhale while holding thumb over carb hole. After bong fills with smoke, release carb and continue to inhale until you head falls off.:rastasmoke:
