I would leave the upper half of the plant untouched.

My lower fan leaves are massive! The size of my hand. And the stem of the leaf is so freaking long! I can hardly get in and water them. I think this was caused by having the light to close, because the nodes are super compact.
Probably the B-1 too, the foliage went ape shit over it.

there is no definitive answer to this debate. some people do, some don't. some strains might love it, some may not. removing them, or too many at once could cause stress and possibly a hermie. i'm not saying it's probable, but it is possible.

the best you can do is try it for yourself.
