allergy to cannabis?
i have noticed after handling my plants, my forearms and hands itch for quite sometime. am i allergic?

Maybe. Plants put out all kinds of chemicals to protect themselves from being disturbed by predators. It could be that your plants are reacting to being handled, or maybe you're just allergic, or both.
Try to not touch your plants more than you absolutely have to. Wear gloves. Try a few anti-itch medications and see if it helps. Is this minor irritation, or is it bad, like poison ivy?
I'd suggest some non-powdered surgical gloves, or maybe dishwashing gloves that go way up your arm.

I got uber sensitive skin and if I mess w the plants I get little red whelps. They itch like crazy and go away withing an hour or so, but none the less, it happens. It was in no way related buy I happened to change the soap I use, now the plants dont bug me near as much. It sounds weird but give it a shot, may change something.

I changed soaps, too. The antibacterial soaps make my hands dry and cracked. I switched to a regular hand soap and it's way better now.

I meant the soap I shower with. I dont open the grow box when I get home until after I've showered. I work construction and remodeling in homes so theres no telling what kinda crap I'm carry in w me. I used to use Lever 2000 when I showered and thats when I had the allergy prob w the plants. Now I use Dove Men+ care and havent had any worries at all.

It is possible that you have an allergy related to the vegetative material. It has happened before and in the same ways with gardeners and their different species of plants. Nothing to be alarmed of from what I know.
