This article brings up a few thoughts about MJ and its future as we (hopefully) move into a legalization era.

At the MMCs I have been to (a fairly small number) the buds have always been displayed in some form of glass jar. Labeled by strain, but no sort of extraneous packaging. I've only seen one exception to this, little pressed round wafers of unimpressive (I was given a sample. Schwag.) smoke shrink wrapped and with a colorful label. I found it disturbing.

You know the day will get here though... branded, glossy package, designed by ad agencys with focus groups.

I like the funky atmosphere that exists today, an actual person picks out some buds for you, maybe shows you an especially nice one, places it by hand into a container for you. I hope it never goes away. It would be sad if every time you bought some bud it was just another transaction, like buying cigs, beer, or donuts.
